House rules and conditions
We live in Masr not Egypt – google it the difference ! If you dont like animals – this is not the place for you, sorry.. 800m away from the entrance to pyramids (10-15min walk). The house surrounded by desert and horse stables area, but we are on a front row to enjoy best view! ..expect some natural smell sometimes and noise from donkeys or horses, horses love talking! we also have a cat Shaqia and 2 rescued chihuahuas that love guests and treats (limited, please ask!) .
Its a very unique place and very Egyptian kind of environment, do not expect a 5 star streets and surroundings. We do NOT have a control over what is going around in streets and be ready to experience simple egyptian kind of life living, very different from a downtown. If you dont like animals and not very open minded to enjoy Egypt as it is, perhaps this place is not for you. We are in a desert and we do have a lot of dust and flies and all. But we love what we do and promise to give you best we can!
This is HOME not a hotel

CHECK IN AFTER 2PM.
Please respect the timing as we need to prepare the place for you and there is a lot to do so you can enjoy.
We do not have a doorman, reception, or 24-hour front desk.
Occupancy & Guests: ONLY registered guests are permitted on the property. Unapproved visitors or parties are strictly prohibited.
Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Check-in/Check-out: check in after 2pm (after 9pm separate rules apply, read below) // check out 11am. NO hanging around the terraces, must leave the premises.
Smoking & Vaping: NO smoking anywhere inside the rooms. NO DRUGS: Any use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs on the premises is forbidden and may result in immediate removal from the property and notification of the authorities.
Pets: sorry no pets.. we have plenty of our own and they are not very friendly with other pets. Strictly no pets inside the rooms.
Waste & Recycling: We recylcle everything. Bins outside and inside for papeer and plastic only. Food wastes discuss with us, as some we keep for dogs and cats, some for other animals.
Property Care: Guests shall report any damage immediately and state that furniture should not be rearranged. ARRIVALS AFTER 9:00 PM – VERY IMPORTANT: READ . All arrivals after 9:00 PM are strongly advised to use our recommended driver.
If you use our driver: • You may check in at any time after 9pm. • He knows exactly where the house and rooms are• He will explain the area and access clearly, not only drive and drop.
If you choose cheaper options or your own transportation and arrive after 9:00 PM: • You do so AT YOUR OWN RISK. • You may get lost or be dropped in the wrong place We will NOT be able to assist late at night as we sleep early and wake up early for household and stable duties. We are not responsible for GPS accuracy, driver mistakes, or route choices.
NOTE Many drivers: • do NOT read nor English nor arabic, they don’t understand maps.. • Do not know the Pyramid area • Are unfamiliar with streets shared with horses, camels, and donkeys

FINDING THE HOUSE
Please search “FB Stables Giza” or MALIKA QASR on Google Maps.
If you choose not to use our driver, navigation is your responsibility.
Old Giza has NO proper street numbers or signage, no address and finding places here is part of the adventure . Usually navigated this way- ” go straight, turn right at Sayed house, then you see bench, turn right , go go go and you see house of Malika”

👟 Shoe Policy
Inside the Rooms: Strictly NO shoes allowed inside the bedrooms. Please leave them at the entrance.
💡 Electricity & Energy Saving
Egypt frequently experiences electricity shortages and power cuts. We must all work together to save energy.
Switch Off: Turn off all lights and appliances when you leave a room.
Our Policy: If lights or appliances are left on in an empty room, our staff will enter to turn them off for you.
☀️ Water & Solar Heating
Solar Hot Water: Hot water comes from a solar heater. Please use it with care so there is enough for everyone, and allow time for the tank to reheat if it runs out.
Drinking Water: The water from the kitchen filters is completely safe to drink.
Government Outages: The government occasionally cuts off the municipal water supply without notice (usually only once a year). We appreciate your patience if this happens.
🛋️ Blankets & Bedding
Bedding: Indoor bed blankets must stay inside the room. Do NOT take them out to the terrace.
Outdoor Blankets: Specific outdoor blankets are provided on the shelves in each room for terrace use.
